Senses of Cinema run a database called Great Directors, a lengthy overview of the work of particular filmmakers. I was astounded to find that my hero Eric Rohmer was not yet claimed by another writer, and delighted when they give him to me. The finished piece can be found here.

But there is always more to say. I wrote a further piece on Rohmer’s Triple Agent, and I haven’t stopped thinking about his work.

I am working a book length project that is part biography, part critical analysis of the films and part autobiography.
